This report has been presented at the meeting called “Raw materials and ceramic bodies for high quality tiles”, which was held by Gruppo Editorial Faenza Editrice, Sassuolo, Auditorium Assopiastrelle, 17 february 2005. The issue relating to break of green tiles on glazing lines was worked out by means of the classical modulus of rupture, but also taking advantage of two more parameters: the elasticity modulus and the bending of tiles due to the application of water.
