A new optical technique has been introduced to measure the state of tensions in glazed ceramic bodies, it has already been applied to the study of delayed crazing and pyroplastic deformation of ceramic body. The report explains how ceramic technicians can take advantage of new optical equipment to develop high quality products and to avoid defects in final products.
